Having control over the content of your website means more than just being able to update your news page. It means having the ability to keep your website - your mouthpiece to the virtual world - fresh with the latest information, products, pricing, pictures and offers.
This can be achieved in two basic ways, depending on your requirements:
1) Data driven. A data driven site uses a database to store data records, which are displayed on the web page depending on the selection criteria entered or initiated by the click of a button. Each record can be a product, service, news item, job vacancy, or whatever is appropriate for your business. When you click on a button a search is initiated in the database and the appropriate records are displayed. Click on either of the thumbnails below to see examples of data driven sites.
2) WYSiWYG HTML Editor. With this tool you are able to edit the content of the web page itself. However, this is usually restricted to a central infomation panel, into which text or images can be put, so as not to compromise the overall design of the site.
